North Vermillion High School Athletics

The North Vermillion High School girls' swim team turned in solid performances at last night's meet against Fountain Central, Attica, and Covington. Riley Smith excelled in the 100-yard Backstroke, finishing second with a time of 1:37.36. Marki Chambliss, a freshman, had an impressive swim in the 100-yard Butterfly, securing first place with a time of 1:35.60. Gabbi Phelps completed the 500-yard Freestyle in 8:27.18, showcasing her endurance and skill in the event. Taylor Norton swam a strong 100-yard Breaststroke, finishing with a time of 2:05.93. In relay events: The 200-yard Medley Relay team, consisting of Chloe Doan, Taylor Norton, Marki Chambliss, and Gabbi Phelps, took second place with a time of 2:46.78. The 200-yard Freestyle Relay team of Chloe Doan, Marki Chambliss, Taylor Norton, and Gabbi Phelps finished with a time of 2:35.24
