North Vermillion Jr./Sr. High School has named Mallory Kelly as the new Head Varsity Softball Coach. Kelly is currently a teacher at North Vermillion and brings strong familiarity with the school and community. She has extensive playing experience at both the high school and collegiate levels, along with a clear emphasis on character development and building positive relationships with student-athletes. Kelly played collegiate softball at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College from 2018 to 2021 and was a member of the 2019 USCAA National Championship team. At the high school level, she was a standout center fielder at South Vermillion from 2015 to 2018. Her honors include WIC All-Conference in 2017, WRC All-Conference in 2018, and First Team All-State in 2018. “We are excited to have Mallory lead our softball program,” said Athletic Director Martin Brown. “Her emphasis on character development, preparation, and supporting student-athletes both on and off the field stood out throughout the interview process. We believe she will be a great fit for North Vermillion.” Kelly will begin her duties immediately as she prepares for the upcoming softball season.
